Less Than One-Third Of COVID-19 Vaccines Shipped To Chicago Have Gone to City Residents – WBEZ (Chicago)

Just 36,531 of the doses shipped here have been injected into the arms of people living in Chicago zip codes. The remaining 87,894 doses were either given to non-city residents who work in Chicago, or are sitting in a freezer waiting to be administered.

The rollout has been a disaster. I personally know young healthy office workers who’ve received the vaccine because institution’s must follow the state’s ridiculous distribution criteria. The institution said they aren’t allowed to give the vaccine to older people, or outside the institution, and if young healthy people affiliated with the vaccine didn’t take the remaining doses, the would just go to waste. this is shameful. I also heard that JB expanded criteria for the vaccine. He said that CDC guidelines suggested anyone over 75 first but he expanded to 65 for ‘racial equity’ because there aren’t as many BIPOC… Read more »

Never mind that!

So something from the Federal Government shipped to Chicago did not go where it was targeted to go? So what? That’s nothing new and it would not surprise me one bit if it is later found out that some politician literally sold the stuff to someone else for cash. Remember, this is Illinois.

Yet Lori goes on air blasting Trump for his awful vaccine distribution.

Who will she blame now that D’s control the house, senate and presidency?

You’re kidding right? If the Obama years taught us anything, you are allowed to blame the prior administration for all your troubles. With a compliant media you get up to 8 years to assign blame to the prior administration unless prior administration was from Democrat party.
