Audio and summary
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Kudos to the author of this letter. It is well written, loaded with facts and right on point. What a horrendous waste of money on bureaucracy and buildings when teaching needs the funds. And also quite interesting is that these performance problems are reaching into the wealthiest and best educated parts of the state. The problem is not just a failure of the Chicago Public Schools– it is the state education system. The Board of Ed and other executive branch relevant agencies need to get their act together to stop hurting our students and frittering away billions of dollars.
