Her premise is wrong: The State of Illinois and the City of Chicago have directed more public resources to being elected and re-elected than making necessary infrastructure repairs and improvements. They won’t close empty schools; they sell City assets for short-term fixes in election years; and, they then invoke the fake gods of climate change, racism and sexism as excuses for raising taxes and creating new and more expensive fees and surcharges–all the while refusing to cut fraud, waste and stupidity. Illinois and Chicago are where “Ubi est mea?” meets “a sucker is born every minute.”
And they won’t pass the costs along to the consumers, right? This kind of thinking illustrates why these people’s native lands are in constant turmoil and why they shouldn’t allowed to be elected to important political positions.
