Library and school leaders let Cook County officials have it over costly property tax delays – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

Diana McCluskey, chief school business official for Community Consolidated School District 15 in Palatine, testified that her district had lost "approximately $4 million due to this unfortunate situation. Where are we going to make that up from? We aren't a corporation."

I love this “We aren’t a corporation.” Well, now you can do what corporations do – furloughs, layoffs/ forced retirements, and pay cuts. Or are public employees to good for what corporations regularly do?

The libraries are there for the homeless people. The schools are there for daycare centers. Both should be for education, but they are not.

And both are there to pay salaries and benefits to active and former public employees. Those on the gravy train always go first class.

After 3 pm, our village library is overrun with kids from the local grade school. Loud, running around, food spilled all over. Lasts until parents pick them up after 6. Adults and seniors know not to use library after 2:30 until 6:30. Library staff just shrugs their shoulders, just like teachers have to with unruly students. Can’t confront or discipline them.

How many voters in your district voted for Preckwinkle? This whole property tax situation falls on her shoulders and the company she hired. Yet no one names her as the culprit.

Do what you always do. Steal it from the taxpayers. Corporations have to produce a product that someone will buy. What do you produce? More idiots that only want to watch the Cubs and drink beer?

corporations legally steal from taxpayers by installing loopholes which allow them to pay very little to no taxes. for example, in 2025 88 of the most profitable companies in the United States paid $0 in federal income tax. if that’s not robbery then i don’t know what is.

Corporations don’t pay taxes; they collect them.

Taxwinkle’s office doesn’t give a hoot about anything besides making sure her “ guaranteed income “ folks get their 6K/ year and that money goes to the queer agenda she seems to have an affinity for.

the left has their woke agenda & the right have their christian & corporate agenda’s-as opposed to being different they are merely different sides of the same coin.

Actually they are not different sides of the same coin at all, they are diametrically opposed to each other. Woke is explicitly anti-Christian and is the furthest thing from Christianity. The new testament explicitly prohibits social justice, ie. a son shall not be punished for the sins of his father, which is the entire basis of the social justice movement.
