Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Guns don’t shoot people, people use guns to shoot people. If there are fewer guns, those same criminals will use knives, batons, 2x4s, metal pipes, fists, vehicles, etc. Violence isn’t held in check by prohibiting guns.
Lori has failed, as has Kim Foxx, the black caucus , Sophia King and especially the Beverly democrat RINO Lausch. Lausch stopped prosecuting gun crimes because his bff Lori told him to. Now she wants to harp about gun control and blame illegal guns when the problem is her rabid feral south and west side ghetto communities that she enables for votes. But when the previous Administration said they would send in the National Guard to address the violence, I believe Lori’s response was something to the effect of “starts with and F and ends with a U”
Chicago does not need Federal help. The Feds can only do that which chicago is not doing, i.e. prosecute and incarcerate. Chicago can do the job as a self help project. Investigate, arrest, prosecute, incarcerate those found guilty. The problem is that Lori and Kimmy do not have the will or competence to do what is necessary. Asking the Feds for help is a howling and pleading admission that Lori and Kimmy are not doing their jobs. Turn the CPD loose and most importantly back them up and the crime rate will be significantly lower next year.
VP Harris should be assigned to help Lori. She’s not looking for help, she’s looking for someone dumb enough to share the blame; VP Harris would be perfect. Lori could show her where to get her hair did.
Federal aid isn’t going to solve the problem how much more money do you need Lori, allow the laws that are on the books to be strictly enforced that’s what there there for stop this catch and release as they used to say do the crime do the time period!. And as for Kimm Foxx her superiors need to remove her from office now, that individual is bad news how she ever was re-elected is beyond me.
