There is nothing more entertaining than watching the Left turn on each other.

I can see it now- Lightfoot is searching for some “ism” to accuse them of: racism, homophopia, etc meanwhile recognizing she cannot level those accusations at them because they are hispanic and LBGT actvist she simply retorts that she is embarrased for them. Meanwhile she should be pointing the finger back at herself for her inability to effectively govern. Sorry Lori, buts that’s show business for ya!

This blocking of Lightfoot’s unlimited spending powers isn’t because these Chicago Aldermen have suddenly became cautious and responsible fiscal stewards of Chicago finances. No, its because they all want to ensure that they get their own great big slice of the pie and to get their beaks wet.

It pains me to say it, but that’s always been the give-and-take of doing politics, hasn’t it? I doubt its ever been done cleanly and selflessly, especially when big-bucks deals are in play. Did you see the Daniel Day Lewis movie where he played Abraham Lincoln? Its eye-opening story line is along the lines of what I’ve said here, and that was a long, long time ago. Some things never change, it seems, even as we’d all like to think and hope otherwise.
