Lightfoot to Trump: If You Want to Help Chicago, Don’t Send Agents, Develop ‘Moral Courage’ – WTTW (Chicago)

“In the end, we very much want to partner with an executive branch that respects our city, inclusive of all of our residents, regardless of race, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, sexual orientation or ability,” Lightfoot wrote. “Partnership includes respect that you have not shown to our residents as of late in mocking the level of violence that challenges Chicagoans.”

Sorry but no outsider from the federal govt including the Prez will even be ABLE to help Lightfoot. Mayor, City Council and State Legislature are the ones. Here are ideas to solve the massive crime problem, and NONE will even be entertained by the PC dim-wit-Dems in charge. To reduce violent crime, and none will be be proposed, much less enacted: 1) Institute quick, speedy trials and death penalty for murder, armed robbery with a loaded gun, and even attempted murder when the victim was only saved by doctors and nurses. Lori, please, just restrain your impulse to speak. Of all of the failings of our President, he seems to not care about one’s ethnicity or gender or whatever silly “identification” one has…

You have proven derelict in your duties and deflecting and projecting your failure onto another is the cowards way to behave. Although, gotta admit, it is the behavior I expected from you. Fail on LL, fail on…

OMG, every time LL opens her mouth she makes a fool of herself and embarrasses Chicago. Mayor Lightfoot is derelict.

The stupid mayor who won’t tell crook Madigan to resign and won’t condemn BLM violence is going to lecture others on moral courage. Right

I think that Queenie has a good point here. The President and all the rest of us for that matter, should have the “Moral Courage” to stand up to the Reds and refuse to give them any more money.

ATTA BOY QUEENIE!!

Mayor Lightfoot lost control of the City of Chicago 53 days ago on Friday May 29, 2020 and has not yet regained control.

Rioters v Lightfoot.

Rioters prevail.

Lightfoot fail.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
