Twenty-sixth street in Little Village is an important economic hub for the city and neighborhood. The 2-mile stretch is lined with many independent storefronts and restaurants. “When the Mag Mile gets hit, they take our resources, our police officers and send them that way,” the president of the Little Village Community Council said. “So why not do the same thing when this happens to our neighborhood?”
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Little Village vendors shouldn’t leave home without it!
What a horrible, low trust society we live in, where pitiful street vendors are targeted for the few dollars in cash they have.
The Rich are better than the poor, always have been, always will be.
Poor people are put on earth to be screwed over by government.
