Lori Lightfoot pledges to stay in Chicago after being ousted from office amid spiraling crime wave – FOX News

Brandon Johnson, left, stands with Lori Lightfoot at swearing-in ceremony"People are still very concerned and very fearful. And unfortunately, a lot of the gains that we had made are starting to disappear over the course of time. I think fundamentally, we still have to focus on a couple of things. You’ve got to deal with the immediate problem of, in my view, still too many violent, dangerous habitual offenders walking the street," the former mayor said when asked about Mayor Brandon Johnson’s initiatives to open more mental health facilities and work programs in a bid to combat crime.

Lightfoot had golden opportunity to become a national political rock-star, had she been a prudent pro-active law-and-order mayor, instead of yet another lame progressive mouth-piece. It’s sad. And Chicago suffers for her poor performance.

Her entire time in office, she didn’t say that once. What a fraud the woman is.

She should go back to her academic job. She and her administration would be great case studies regarding the damage progressive and combative policies have on an urban area. There might be some- but there are not many- mayors who did more disastrous things to the city they ran.
