Timely response by police for protection from bad guys is one of the most basic functions of a government in any civilized society. Since Lori– and really Rahm before her– have totally botched this assignment– we’ll see in a few months whether the voters in Chicago recognize how far the City has slid down the slope to uninhabitability. If they don’t expect basic services to be provided, there really isn’t any floor as to how low the bar can go.
Government employees do not get paid for results. So why care about it?
Pays just as good not doing the job as it does to pretend to do your job.
The thugs and criminals are who run the streets. If they want justice, they get it. It is the poor honest hardworking taxpayer who gets nothing but pays out the A$$ for it.
No cops respond, no reports are made, no crime recorded. The triple play of crime reduction.
