Concerns about Mayor Johnson’s close ties to the Chicago Teachers Union seem to be clouding his ability to make independent decisions in the city’s best interest. The well-being of all Chicagoan’s, especially the “children of the community”, should be the priority—not the empowerment of an increasingly activist union.

It was interesting to see the Hispanic alderman opine that Playa is overstepping his boundaries, whereas the black one ( Anthony Beale I believe ) put the “ the mayor is the owner of the team and can fire an underperforming manager “ spin on it. In an increasingly “ brown “ city, things are going to get very interesting. Very.

I think that was Ald Hall not Ald Beale, but you make a good point. Martinez is Latino, approx 50% of CPS is now Latino, I’m sure all the empty CPS schools are in Black neighborhoods not Latino. All while are Black master race grifter/equity hustlers Stacy & Brando are serving as cover for majority White guaranteed upper-middle class CTU looking for their $$9%$$ a yr pay-o-la…..So yah, if I’m Mexican/Latino I’m pissed. When are Latinos going to decide phony CTU fluffers like Ald Rameriz-Rosa don’t speak for them?

“When are Latinos going to decide phony CTU fluffers like Ald Rameriz-Rosa don’t speak for them?”

When the Harris-Walz administration grants them citizenship via executive order much as Emperor Caracalla in 212 AD, in the Constitutio Antoniniana, said that every free person living in the Empire was now a citizen of Rome. The reason for the low voting in latino areas, that only honest people admit to, is that they are mostly all illegals who can’t vote.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
