Look to the Gov.–he is the one shutting down everything.

JB was too busy criticizing the Feds when he should have been focused on his own state. The IDES problem has existed since day 1 of this pandemic. Pritzker shut down the state tighter than any other governor, and Illinois still has a high death count. Not good.

And how many of those 138k are false claims using stolen identity info? Did they figure that into their “numbers”? Liars figure and figures lie – Loosely Mark Twain.

Out of those 138K one was filed in my name and one was filed in my wife’s name. Funny we’re both still working. I guess we’ll be trying to straighten this out for the next year or two. Also know several other people who had claims filed in their name. IDES is a real shit show, I hope the media holds Pritzker accountable and doesn’t allow the “It’s Rauner’s fault” narrative. Wonder how much of the data breach is caused by IDES employees “working” from home with unsecure connections.

My wife got a notice to certify for benefits and my employer received a notice. one of my buddie’s employees had a fraudulent claim filed in his name. My buddy went off on them, “don’t you at least look at my quarterly filings, if you did you’d see he was working at the time benefits were claimed for.” I’m sure it did a lot of good.

So did my brother. He called IDES and after a couple days they called him back and said they would put a fraud report in. Bet money half of this stuff is coming from people within IDES…and their “unsecured connections”. My brother is retired too which makes it even more laughable. Has never collected unemployment in his life.

I’ve heard the rumor that it’s from within IDES. Would you bet money that Kwame will investigate it.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
