Much of the routine trade and investment between China and America is entirely appropriate and in America’s interest. But inserting the Chinese Communist Party into America’s pay-to-play system and its economic development strategy isn’t just crossing a line. It’s a leap into an abyss of stupidity.
Only a sick society would actively encourage people to be fat and eat more than their fair share of food. Food is a limited and finite resource – people around the world today are starving and don’t have enough food. For how many years has this selfish, selfish woman eaten more than her fair share? It takes years of 4,000 calories a day to get a BMI of 40 like her, when she should be eating 2,000 calories a day, and saving some food for the poor and starving.
“It’s not what you’re eating; it’s what’s eating you.”
To be willing to accept the limitations of obesity speaks volumes about internal conflict.
I’m all for ‘to each his own,’ but celebrating obesity is a step to far. Acceptance is a fine attitude, celebration is not.
Lots to celebrate in life: morbid obesity isn’t one of them.
