Assistant state’s attorneys have begun reviewing cases of people held pretrial to determine whether they will ask that they remain detained, Foxx said.  Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart said his office has also gone through a similar review of current detainees.

Wait a minute. Foxx and others, including at least one Tribune column, have said the act is not retroactively going to affect current detainees. If that’s true, why are they going through their list of current detainees to see if they meet the new standard?
