Based on this can I assume a heterosexual white person can be denied service because s/he is not part of a protected class?
And the officer who was denied service stated that she is gay – aren’t gays a protected class?
This denial of service is CRIMINAL, but we all know that “criminal” is okay and even celebrated in Chicago/Cook County/Illinois.
Good information for the criminals, a cop free zone, lets go!
If the Pilsen store is a cop free zone do the cops have to respond to any call from that store?
Cops should respond. Law enforcement should be agnostic. Show them you’re above their petty political beliefs.
Now, whether or not the store employees or patrons will call police is another matter.

Pretty sure the police are the only folks who are keeping your fellow komrades from ripping off your store on a daily basis. Seriously, why are there so many brain dead folks in our midst?

Why not just give the books away?

Bad guys always abide by those stickers – really, they do, otherwise why would stores post them?

So it’s safe to guess the owners of Pilsen Community Books won’t call the police if and when “The Community” they love so much, or “Other” communities, rob the store?
Communists are a strange breed. They are resentful of government meddling in their affairs yet they yearn to control every aspect of everyone else’s lives. In their socialist world, they get to run a bookstore and discuss pedantic politics all day while you toil in the factory.
So, a baker can be sued for not being willing to create a cake for a gay wedding, but a cop in Chicago can be denied service in a book store.
Something about that seems abhorrent.
