Police Officer Suicides Tripled in Two Years As CPD ‘Stalled’ on Progress With Consent Decree – Illinois Answers Project

The risk of self harm among CPD officers is also documented in a 2017 U.S. Department of Justice report that found the rate of suicides among officers (22.7 per 100,000 department members) were 60% higher than the national average (18.1 law enforcement suicides per 100,000).

After today it won’t matter because there will be no cops left to commit suicide. Think there will be lots of resignations, early retirements, lateral transfers. Crime will soar but then again, who cares? They’ll get what they wanted.

I don’t expect we’ll ever been told, but I wonder how many CPD officers will be filing their papers today and in upcoming days.

Sad, sad day for Chicago.

Voting has consequences.

Letting activists verbally berate officers for an extended period of time is wrong. At some point the protest turns to abuse. Not to mention physical assaults.
