State officials said the Illinois Grocery Initiative has awarded more than $18 million statewide to support new and existing independent grocers in areas without fresh food options.

Venice is getting a new school for its 90 something student body courtesy of the state taxpayers as well. Another dark hole here in downstate for money to disappear easily confirmed by a look at the schools report card. Investing in failure the Illinois way.

Not as long as JB is in office. They won’t be able to admit failure so they’ll just throw more money at it. Definitely not before November 2026. Must be new to Illinois or politics in general.
