Pritzker defends vaccine distribution even as 1 in 4 long-term care residents get shot – Center Square

State Sen. Steve McClure, R-Springfield, said it’s unacceptable. “We want to help, we want to be part of the process, we know we can do things to help and yet we’re not allowed to. And then when things go wrong it’s somebody else's fault, it’s not his fault.”

It’s really sad the residents in Illinois LTC facilities are expendable. They seem to be burdens on society based on the priority they are given by the politicians for the vaccine or even higher quality health care. These residents are mothers/fathers/sisters/brothers to someone and more than likely they had somewhat difficult lives to end up there. Most have not seen visitors other than staff in about a year now. When you consider that West Virginia will have vaccinated everyone by next week its a real travesty to be in a LTC facility in Illinois. Truly sickening!! Worst thing is that… Read more »
