Pritzker issues 18th 30-day migrant disaster proclamation – Center Square

The migrant disaster orders follow more than three years of emergency orders Gov. JB Pritzker issued during the pandemic. In both, state Sen. Terri Bryant said the sweeping executive powers from such proclamations impacts taxpayers.

So I’m out here in northwest IL. I do not here any push back at all from my representatives. Syverson and Sosonoski. Nothing publicly from them the way Il is spending money. I see Syverson cutting ribbons and smiling a lot but nothing in the local new about the way the state is being run. JB is running all over us with these declarations. When it states migrants are being put into hotels , is anyone ( my representatives) checking into if the hotels are not in the Hyatt family of hotels? Would that be conflict of interest? Governor has issued 18 disaster proclamations over 48 months.

Sounds like the lead in to the next State of the State message.

It’s the Chicago migrant disaster. Unbalivable rest of state remains silent on all the $100s of millions in state tax $ being spent in Chicago?
