Pritzker, Lightfoot contacting out-of-state companies dissatisfied with abortion bans – WBBM (Chicago)

Gov. JB Pritzker, asked about Eli Lilly’s opposition to Indiana’s new abortion ban, confirmed he has reached out to the drug maker to tell them Illinois would welcome any expansion projects. “We welcome their employees. We treat workers here well and, very importantly, we protect their individual rights and their families’ rights."

Gosh darn! Gambling, legal marijuana, and abortion – a trifecta – how could any big company resist? All Illinois should do now is legalize prostitution and we can expect companies to flock to the state.

What’s not to love? Oh, that’s right, Chicago’s little issues of crime and no punishment, gun violence, murder in the streets and high, high taxes.

Oops, not supposed to mention those things, just abortion.

It is possible that woke execs of some firms might consider moving from IN to IL over this issue but how many of their employees would make the move? Do they honestly believe their entire workforce is so obsessed with abortion that their employees would move to IL, pay higher taxes for a lower quality of life for themselves and their family?

What Pritzker really meant was “We will tax their employees to death. We laugh at workers who actually work and, very importantly, we will trample their individual rights and trample their families’ rights”
