A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
On the topic of taxpayer abuse, we have here the pot calling the kettle black.
Didn’t take the hint? Wow! Such strong words! School boards are quaking in theor boots! .
Why isn’t the lotto money going to schools as promised, on top of state funding?
Because it is…state funding was cut because of the lottery funding
JB the Hutt could take a hint and retire somewhere closer to his offshore trust funds.
That’s the ticket! Add more taxes in the name of tax relief! That more income taxes would be used to reduce property taxes is a fairy tale.
However State school funding is handed out based upon a so called need adjusted formula meaning some districts get very little funding while other districts do quite well. Consider Cahokia Heights, and Venice district’s getting new school buildings at state expense while neighboring districts have to dig into their own pockets to build a new school. Now a local school district did get targeted state funding for the installation of co-ed bathrooms, thank you Representative Stuart, but that’s hardly a new building. A guy that went on a hiring spree to bolster his dismal employment numbers as he touted IL as a land of opportunity for “ his people “ , raises taxes at will and creates new ones out of thin air should just keep his trap shut.
So I thought high property taxes were DJTs fault – I guess he edges out those greedy school boards.
