Does teacher paid covid sick day bill provide any temporary or permanent funding by state (fed arpa funds?) to school districts to pay for all the sick days? Or, i assume, this is yet another state mandate bill conceived by pubic sec unions and pushed through state legislature that local municipalities or school districts have to some how pay for??…and once again, if your just a chump taxpayer/ homeowner your not even the game..and the sad reality is most taxpayers are to stupid to even realize it

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
