Gov. JB Pritzker met with Pres. Joe Biden for 45 minutes during Biden’s Thursday Illinois visit.
Pritzker’s “asks” on the migrant crisis, as reported by Politico, were for humanitarian aid, expedited work permits for asylum seekers not covered by Biden’s “temporary protected status” actions and federal coordination to protect asylum seekers from Chicago winter.
How about, “Please enforce the border”?
Nope, no mention of anything like that.
In short, Pritzker asked for federal help only on things that would make Illinois a more attractive destination for migrants.

Audio and summary
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Well, JB needs someone to keep emptying his latrine – cause his city digs have no toilets…
Looks like Pritzker, Biden’s & Johnson’s communist utopia is shaping up to be even worse than Venezuela!

When two fools meet..
JB, charity begins at home. How bout you putting them up on your own dime in Hyatts nationwide. At least you’d be fouling your own nestinstead of ours.
The look on jelly belly’s face just makes me laugh, oh Joe your the greatest get out of the way will ya.
I am starting to enjoy downvoting PPF and DH. It’s becoming enjoyable just to do that. Now to get down to brass tacks. Pritzker has ensured Illinois’ destruction along with the others like Crimesha and Taxwinkle. It’s a fool’s errand to think that any of the usual suspects are going to turn things around with their ridiculously stupid policies. I always have to return to the same premise, the citizens are protesting the sanctuary city status, the migrants pouring out of police stations, and overall poor policymaking? But didn’t they vote for this? You elected these people, not me! You… Read more »
I enjoy watching your demoralization campaign crumble. You’re efforts to project sadness, disillusionment, lack of faith, and depression are clearly failing.
Who in their right mind shows up in a political comment section with a “We’ll Never Win” sign? LOL
I preface my response with: The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th Month was the end of the most brutal war in human history, World War I. May our veterans be blessed that they did not fight in vain to keep our country and our way of life free! This day is in memory of those who did not die in vain. Veterans Day! Comrade Hardy- What I see is reality in many failures by policy makers, your version must see hope and change. While you walk on an empty Magnificent Mile filled nightly with thugs shooting… Read more »
Realists. Willing to wager against Dominion voting machines to again be used in 2024?
Listening to your TV is a sure path to failure. Your TV would never say anything to scare you from participating or doing something productive. LOL
I’m glad that my truthful comments have provided you some enjoyment. I noticed that many of the comments that have lots of positive feedback revolve around name calling anyone in the Democratic party. Usually very little substance to those comments but people seem to love it if your call someone fat, evil, commie, etc. Whenever someone provides a comment that doesn’t line up with the name calling and complaining and provides more nuance to an argument, those comments typically get ignored or downvoted. People really do love their echo chamber. If downvoting helps you feel more in control of the… Read more »
JB is pandering to Biden administration, probably angling for a cabinet post in ext administration as payback for being staunch “Biden guy”. And meanwhile, his fat pocketbook is ready to fund a last-minute presidential run of Biden self-destructs, whether medically, or by impeachment for corruption, tax fraud, and undeclared agent of foreign country. There’s a recent video interview out there on internet, BLM Rhode Island chapter leader is interviewed: he notes many BLM leaders now believe democratic party disregards its black voter-base, to detriment of black citizens, whereas Trump policies were more beneficial even to black interests. He now supports… Read more »
Change in direction like they’ll vote for different Democrats or just not show up at all to the polls. Oh, don’t worry, the poll workers will still tally their ballots, even if they don’t show up.
And let’s just say for one second that the election is legitimate, and that blacks vote for trump in the double digits (12%, 14%), they’ll still vote Democrat the rest of the ballot. Making Trump president but putting Democrats in congress is negating any good trump could do.
More illegal immigrants? Is he trying to further anger the black voting bloc? Or is he trying to eliminate the hotel competition by filling all but Hyatt hotels with migrants?
Why is asking for federal resources to attract more wards of the state a priority?
Watch Pritzker, Welch and Harmon’s next strategy: legislation that allows illegal immigrants to vote with the goal of Illinois becoming a one party state into perpetuity. What other goal might there be, unless they plan to corruptly divert Federal cash to other pet projects (like chasing the EV windmill)?
This is rather funny in a way. The blacks heavily vote Democrat but the blacks are upset about the immigrants. So the blacks vote for Pritzker who makes their lives, according to them, worse. The Chicago mayor, also a Democrat, says he wants no more immigrants yet Pritzker says send more. Pritzker is running for President and the heck with Illinois residents and the blacks,,,still vote Democrat, of course.

A friend sent me this link awhile ago. This animated clip explains politics perfectly. I think the WP audience will get a kick out of this. That includes PPF!!
Or search youtube for: Rules for Rulers
Pritzker isn’t a ruler. He’s a narcissist with more money than brains. He never would have gotten into office if he didn’t finance his campaign.
Financing a campaign is a huge part of getting elected. The same could be said for Rauner or many other candidates.
PPF- a quick question, when you use your union mandated break time from not working to down vote WP comments, do you get any extra credit with the Union?
I down voted it because it sucks. Feel free to debate me on the merits of watching a stick figure dictator pillage the other stick figures.
Who said I’m part of a union? For that matter, who said I even watched the video? Based on Dave’s comment, it doesn’t sound like I missed anything.
Money is very important, probably the most important thing, for a campaign. However, money doesn’t guarantee a victory. JB’s money, from a political perspective, was spent wisely. As a D in a statewide election, he was guaranteed at least 1.65 to 1.85 millions D votes. That’s what every D governor since modern voting began in the 1970’s had received. JB spent his tens of millions of dollars in two ways that helps. First of all, he spent freely with friendly democrat media with the understanding that that they would *never* criticize him, for any reason, ever, or risk losing millions… Read more »
“First of all, he spent freely with friendly democrat media with the understanding that that they would *never* criticize him, for any reason, ever” – also he was able to get the media to pull negative advertising.
That sounds like big boy politics that one would expect from the leader of one of the largest states in the union. It certainly sounds like a solid investment and smart spending on his part.
Pay to play politicians don’t help anybody but themselves. I thought we were beyond this.
You thought wrong. You must not pay attention to American politics and elections. The more you know Dave.
I’m here to make a difference PPF. Stockholm syndrome is not my thing.
Wow Dave. You have made quite the difference. Since your comments on WP, Illinois has really turned things around.
Understanding the current political realities is not Stockholm syndrome. Money helps candidates win elections. If you thought “we were beyond this” then you are completely delusional.
Good luck making a difference when you don’t understand the current rules of the game.
And all this time I thought it was just the voters expressing their sacred will. So it turns out that money is a big factor in elections? Solid investing apparently changes what voters want.
They are expressing their sacred will. After seeing various advertisements they make their decision. More money allows one to communicate ones message more clearly. The voters are too lazy to choose without all the ads but it’s still ultimately their choice. If they are too stupid or too lazy that is also their choice. You get the government that you deserve.
The circular logic PPF employs to justify the illogical ‘will of the voters’ nonsense makes my head spin. Many of the 800,000 votes are clearly fraudulent. No one has explained why 800,000 more votes were counted for this guy than any other Gov. in Illinois history. As Tucker would say, in his famous tone, “DON’T ASK QUESTIONS!” Most POC allied politicians in Chicago receive 80, 90 and 98%+ of the votes in many, many neighborhoods. Kim Foxx wins Chicago with a higher percentage of the vote than Putin wins his hometown of St. Petersburg, or Maduro in Caracas. BUT DON’T… Read more »
Pritzker has spent some $330 million on his two campaigns, which is buying votes at the rate of $70/vote. That’s off the chart in terms of campaign spending.
Do you have a point there Mark? Because from my perspective, you just admitted that having a larger campaign war chest is a big part of getting elected now that the cost per vote has sky rocketed.
I guess we both agree with my original statement that “Financing a campaign is a huge part of getting elected.”
Yes, exactly.
The war chest is only the first step. The extremeluy opaque ground game, with street level people harvest untold numbers of ballots, is the important part. Apparently bringing people to the polls, where anyone can vote without an ID just by saying “I’m this person”, and people can vote several times without any oversight by anyone whatsoever, is why JB won. I’m the only person saying this. Because statistically, it makes no sense that JB’s Cult of Personality could bring out 800,000 new mid-term voters in an election cycle that no other governor had been able to do in 50… Read more »
Did JB mention anything about raising taxes from his first election? All we heard from Rauner is Toiletgate but did JB mention he will double the fuel tax/increase license plate fees/push transgender rights/make Illinois the abortion destination of the Midwest and on and on with any of his ads? Is this what the voters heard from him before or after they elected him. Those who voted for him were primarily recipients. The minute he gets into office he raises taxes by the dozen. Did the voters have an inkling of what WAS to happen to their pocketbooks days after getting into office.… Read more »
Remember one thing Freddy Pritzker is a big fat liar from start to finish.
IL Governor’s races used to be generally pretty close from 1976 to 2014. That was until JB’s $300,000,000 war chest showed up and produced 800,000 new ballots in the midterm from voters that hadn’t voted in a midterm in 50 years. The game was rigged before it was even played. That’s why JB walks around all arrogantly and mocking his opposition party. Because he knows he stole the election, he knows he can walk all over Republicans, he knows that his ground game is going to create out of thin air 800,000 more straight ticket ballots than any Republican ever… Read more »
What’s that Warren Zevon song ” Lawyers, Guns and Money”? Yeah, Pigster’s got those bases covered. Money is power, and Fat Boy has that in spades. He desperately want’s to be president. A year ago I laughed at such a notion. Now, I frown.
“The Rules for Rulers,” (total time 18:12). A key point that would-be rulers must accdept: “Take the throne to act, and the throne acts upon you.” An interesting pictorial essay about a number of realities that are–on most days–at the core of politics. Among many other things, the author finally ends up suggesting there are certain advantages for the people (if not necessarily the ruler) in a solid, economically well-off democracy as compared with a dictatorship. For extra credit, you can try to find where a large army of public sector employees and their pension benefits would plug in to… Read more »
“We need more hotel maids!” cries the hotel heir.
It seems like all the other sanctuary city/states (NY, CO, MA, etc) have pretty much thrown in the towel on the migrant mess. NYC’s offering one way plane tickets to migrants to leave. Has Chicago become the outlier, go-too, destination for migrants?
Chicago is not an outlier, it is the Capital of the neoliberal socialist dreams. Our public sector Unions are the model to copy and implement nationwide. Use the public union cash infusion to dominate local and state politics. It’s why we got the Dem convention. Durbin and Gov Porkchop will get more fed govt funds which will allow this state to continue kicking the can on the eventual pension bankruptcy. It’s never about the little people, it’s all about retaining power.
But they have to lie to us, and themselves, about how successful this model is. It really is the Emperor has no Clothes. Point out that Chicago is failing on virtually ever recognized objective metric, and they scream at you: “Shut the F up about Chicago, you don’t live here”. This is third world South African style politics here.
But that’s what the people want. It’s shocking, but it’s true.

Turning hotels on the once Mag Mile into flop houses – Pritzker and Johnson’s legacy.
The Democrats way – always pandering for bailouts!
Of course he would like more migrants.
This is how he will cover up the population losses. It is part of the bamboozle.
The other reason he wants more migrants?
It will give them the rubric and rationale for another trainload of federal cash.
The state cannot function without regular trainloads of federal cash. They just need a reason to print the money and send the train.
We are printing money and sending all over the place, why not Illinois?
