The policies that NR considers failures are considered successes to the progressive. The progressive disregards traditional, objective measures of successful policies, like crime rates, unemployment rates, public debt, revenue, population growth, taxes and the like, for more ‘subjective’ tests of equity: access to abortion, sanctuary status, the largesse of the welfare state, gun control, and so on. The progressive lives in a completely different world that you do and the ‘kitchen table’ issues that matter to most Americans barely register to the progressive. JB has had the advantage of a super-majority in the entire legislature. He truly hasn’t been forced to bargain with his adversaries on anything. What makes anyone thing he’ll be able to find common ground on a national level?

Once the SAFE-T Act starts the Illinois crime purge (as was the case with New York’s bail reform), Pritzker will be damaged goods.
