Pritzker’s ‘Think Big America’ ads on abortion and IVF: more dishonesty – Wirepoints Quickpoint

Think Big America is the organization founded and primarily funded by Gov. JB Pritzker. It’s now putting up billboards focused on reproductive rights in and around Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ahead of next week’s Republican National Convention.

According to a report this week from Bloomberg, one billboard reads, “MAGA extremists are in town this week to nominate a president who wants a national abortion ban. Stop them. Vote.” And a Think Big Spokesperson told Bloomberg, “Thanks to Donald Trump and his allies, access to contraception, IVF [fertility treatments], and all reproductive health care is now at risk.”

However, both the Republican Party Platform and Trump say the opposite about a national abortion bill and IVF. “We will oppose Late Term Abortion, while supporting mothers and policies that advance Prenatal Care, access to Birth Control, and IVF, says the platform. Trump was instrumental in drafting the platform and wrote some of it. Trump himself has said clearly that he would not sign a federal abortion ban.

Trump has also firmly supported access to IVF, along with most every other major Republican. “I strongly support the availability of IVF for couples who are trying to have a precious little beautiful baby,” Trump has said. In addition, Senate Republicans unanimously signed an open letter saying they “strongly support continued nationwide access to IVF” and offered their own bill protecting IVF.

Granted, Trump is dishonest far too often. But for Trump and his party to violate their party’s platform and breach commitments so clearly made would be extraordinary, and is extremely unlikely.

Also this week, the Democratic National Committee began putting up billboards in Wisconsin tying Trump to Project 2025, which is a plan to drastically reduce the size of government spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation. A broader ad campaign making the same point is also being launched. But Trump has denied any agreement with the plan multiple times and said, “I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”

The fat man is pushing social crap that doesn’t mean anything. There are so many more important thing to fix in this state….but hell, He wont fix the state, so better to move on to social programs and not worry about the freight train coming at the tax payors.

These ninny’s cant prioritize anything. First is safety – that went by by years ago. Then Fiscal Responsibility – same. Then corruption – same. Can’t fix the important stuff, better to go after the social programs and enhance their visibility.

While it may be more dishonesty the real issue is that the media blasts it from the rooftops and the people believe it. Such gullibility but, considering the Illinois School report card results, one can understand it.

Left-wingers like Pritzker muddy the dialogue by lumping together abortion, birth control and IVF. Glennon goes along with them by using their term “reproductive rights.”

Abortion promoters use euphemisms like “reproductive health care” to hide the ugliness of abortion.

Eileen, you seem to be overlooking the facts. Which group promotes one race over the other? The Left, through its black supremacist DEI and Critical Race Theory nonsense. Which group seeks to eliminate a race it deems unfavorable? The Left, in its efforts to replace whites by bringing illegals across the border and encouraging miscegenation among the young and fertile. Which group is robbing another group of its hard-earned wealth and resources? The Left, through its never-ending spiral of new taxes and inflation. Which group terrorizes the other? The Left, through its Antifa and BLM paramilitary groups. Only one group… Read more »

Pritzker is a talking pile of BS, but Trump needs to explicitly say what he is committing to when it comes to abortion. It is not a Federal issue to decide. End of story.

how much more explicit can he get?
He supports the abortion issue being returned to the states as has been done.
He has clearly stated he will not sign a federal abortion ban.
Just what here is not clear to you, Ex?

It’s clear to me Anna, but when JP is spreading lines you explicitly call him out and control the narrative. Engage your brain.

Democrats are now openly fessing up that Joe Biden’s presidency has been all kabuki theater – just one big sham pulled on America, that has been enabled by the MSM (NBC, CBS, ABC, WaPo, NYT, etc) So when Democrats are comfortable with Biden’s level of corruption and fraud, is it any wonder that ‘the lie’ is Democrats means of doing things? It’s why Joe Biden and JB Pritzker choose to lie nearly all the time about seemingly everything – it’s who they are as Democrats.

Another political group financed by JB!? What a surprise! I have never heard Republicans against IVF. If Dems are for women’s rights, why are they for biological males in women’s sports, locker rooms and bathrooms? All those things are anti woman. And is someone can’t decide to have an abortion by the beginning of the 3rd trimester, put the baby up for adoption. In the 3rd trimester, the fetus is viable. JB- a liar and most likely corrupt. That’s why people fleeing IL. He bought the governor seat last time with his millions.

“Granted Trump is dishonest far to often” is something I read far to often, without any specifics. I’ve seen a couple of his interviews and speeches and do not hear dishonesty. Can you provide some specific dishonesty, Mark?

Ron DeSantis tells lies also. There, have all the bases covered between ‘white lies’ and Pritzkers whoppers.

Biden turned the Secret Service against Trump this afternoon, Mark, and the media is already lying to the public on his behalf about the aftermath. Truth is not all on Biden’s mind, I’m afraid.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
