Rich Miller: Assault weapons ban in the works – Illinois Times

"So, keep an eye on the Senate, where the presiding officer has been a vociferous proponent of gun law reform his entire career, but whose caucus contains a sizable number of moderates who have wanted to shy away from such legislation."

Shall Not Be Infringed is all you need to know. Hopefully Law Suits are ready and waiting to be filed against this Unconstitutional Legislation.

Hey Miller, fast forward to Kenosha Wisconsin where a deranged black racist ran over a bunch of parade goers with a 3 ton pickup truck. Crazy people, like democrats and idiots like you are useless, worthless merchants of hate and fear.

IL Politicians problem:

4,000,000 gun purchaser background checks in IL in 2022; and IL leads the nation in gun purchases during 2020, 2021 and 2022.

IL Politicians Solution:

Turn every legal gun owner into a felon by making the gun magazines illegal.

GENIUS!!!!

Still selling guns in licensed (by the state and feds) gun shops who paid a fee to get those licenses, to gun buyers who pay for a FOID card, pay for that background check required for a gun purchase, and still collecting state tax on that firearm purchase. Turn these recent gun buyers into criminals days after the state ok’d that gun buy.

The legislators know what they are doing. The residents of IL played hardball and armed themselves up during the pandemic.

Unfortunately, the legislators of IL view half the state as their political enemies. They’re playing hardball back. They’re intentionally making political enemies – you, the gun owning voter – a criminal overnight.

4,000,000 background checks just last year. The vast majority all of them purchased semi-automatics with magazines more than 10 rounds. And in Mid-January, all of them will committing a Class 3 Felony.

It’s political retribution. They’re weaponizing the state against you.

Mille creeps back from under his rock to parrot the Illinois Democrats unconstitutional virtue signaling waste of time and taxpayer money PR release. And take a completely unrelated poke at Trump while at it because…..you know…..Trump. Shut yer yapper Miller and retire. End the stain on your profession. You haven’t been a ‘journalist’ for 30 years.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
