Rich Miller: Metra ‘boondoggle’ is textbook case of mismanaging taxpayer money – Chicago Sun-Times

Rich Miller speaks true in his fiery assault on the political stooges running the jobs-for-family-and-pals scheme that is modern day Metra. The worst of it is the ‘nobody knows nuttin’ attitude surrounding what must be the Taj Mahal of locomotive parts storage. At this rate, Metra will wind up spending more on the building than on the parts that it is supposed to keep in this climate-controlled storage building. Metra did not blow millions, they enriched their political cronies who are kicking back money to them.
