Rich Miller: No one’s judging Illinois Supreme Court’s latest resign-and-replacement shuffle – Chicago Sun-Times

"Remember the national uproar last November when U.S. Rep. Chuy Garcia bowed out of his reelection race at the last minute and quietly passed petitions to put his chief of staff Patty Garcia on the ballot? ... This sort of resign-and-replacement move is far more common at the Illinois Supreme Court than in any other body of government."

That will save JB another million getting another left wing nutcase judge on the bench, like he did with the last two.

No one is surprised anymore regarding IL politics. That’s why there’s no outcry, what’s the use. Replacements for seats are a done deal by the Democrats, the voters have no say. The IL SC is not the most trusted institution. On any political issue, of which there are many, the outcome is predictable in favor of Democrat interests.

A column by Miller that I can agree with. Of particular note was his observation that the news media should cover the “resign and replacement” procedures that are currently prevalent in securing a spot on the Supreme Court. Miller’s comment shows to me that the Illinois media is so bad that even he is finding fault with it and Miller and I rarely agree.
