No, like are signaling to the 7th Circuit behind the scenes that they expect the 7th Circuit to follow the precedent of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen. That way they don’t need to step in to invalidate the law because they expect the 7th Circuit to do it. The 7th Circuit wouldn’t intervene at first, probably, because they want a brief and opinioning overruling the previous 7th circuit law upholding these laws (the deerfield assault weapons ban).
