Senator Tammy Duckworth’s words Sunday afternoon on X (Twitter) are nothing short of an endorsement of violence and lawbreaking to achieve political ends.
Rioting in Los Angeles to obstruct enforcement of immigration law is just “civilian dissent,” she said in her post. And it’s not the rioters who are “creating chaos,” she says, but the National Guard and Trump. Suppressing the riots with the National Guard is “un-American,” she says. Keep in mind that the riots began on Friday, but Trump did not call for the National Guard until Saturday night and they did not arrive until Sunday.

Seems that ICE was conducting a legal raid on multiple criminals suspected of human trafficking and other, not a widespread sweep. Interfering is obstruction of justice, not civilian dissent. The city and state failed to respond to obstruction of justice, in reality they welcome and enable it. Our mayor and Pritzker rival Bass & Newsom for misguided political malfeasance, and are likely to be on full ignorant display today once again.
Duckworth needs to be voted out. Anyone who supports violence should be arrested. She supports illegals over US citizens. She does not represent me. She has done nothing for IL. She’s a waste of salary.

The fact that she down plays what we see with our own eyes, the fact that she characterizes the violence against Police, damage to the City, looting and destruction of private property as “Civil Dissent”…with those statements she endorses the actions. Geez Tammie– I guess when folks harbor murders, rapist and kidnappers, then block Highway 101, and burn cars in intersections– and local law enforcement does not do anything about it– that’s still not enough “necessary” for you.
