Several new Illinois laws affect the education system – Center Square

One new measure allows every public middle or high school student to be provided at least one day of excused absence per school year to take part in a civic event. Another aims to alleviate the statewide substitute teaching shortage by allowing college students enrolled in an education-related field with at least 90 credit hours to start substitute teaching before they get their degree.

This will work out just fine as Teachers do not teach anyways.
As long as no one cares about education you will have people just pushed through the system. All that counts is Teachers get good pay, great benefits, and a HUGE Pension at a young age. Let the taxpayers be damned.

Social promotion is already the rule in Illinois schools … no child left behind!

Students may not be able to read or understand basic math, but they won’t feel stigmatized because they were left behind.

The education system in Illinois shortchanges students and society by keeping students minimally literate.

Stupid chickens.
