Much of the routine trade and investment between China and America is entirely appropriate and in America’s interest. But inserting the Chinese Communist Party into America’s pay-to-play system and its economic development strategy isn’t just crossing a line. It’s a leap into an abyss of stupidity.
Pay them only when students are at grade level for reading, writing, math and science.

Yeah, the challenge is with CPS and CTU, no body does anything without the “what’s in it for me” motivation (as Chercher mentioned below). The Chicago Teacher’s Union and far left Democrats are finding out that they can only get people to do their bidding if there is money involved, the old “what’s in it for me?” attitude. Everybody on school boards across the state right now are willing to volunteer their time. If the CTU wants to pay school board members they should have to carve it out of their budgets.
