Yeah, the challenge is with CPS and CTU, no body does anything without the “what’s in it for me” motivation (as Chercher mentioned below). They hide behind the “it’s all about the Kids” statement for protests and striking for more money, but that’s really a lie. “What’s in it for me?’ doesn’t fit very well on a pre-printed sign stapled to a stick. The Chicago Teacher’s Union and far left Democrats are finding out that they can only get people to do their bidding if there is money involved, the old “what’s in it for me?” attitude. Everybody on school boards across the state right now are willing to volunteer their time. If the CTU wants to pay school board members they should have to carve it out of their budgets.
