Ald. David Moore plans to camp out on 73rd Place between Ada Street and Racine Avenue for the “next few weeks” in an effort to shut down “an open air drug market” that he said has been tied to at least three recent homicides.
It was interesting in the footage I saw that cars were forming lines in the street in the background and a couple of the underserved were directing traffic in broad daylight with nary a CPD ( or Cook County or DEA) agent around to see what it was all about.

Dec and Jan are better months for sleeping outside. Like he can stop crime?
Better chance of him getting robbed than him stopping crime.
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
