State Planning to Move 658 Migrants to Vacant Kmart on Chicago’s Southwest Side – WTTW (Chicago)

(WTTW News)The migrants — mostly asylum seekers — will be relocated from the suburbs, where they are currently staying at hotels. Both state Rep. Angelica Guerrero-Cuellar and Ald. Silvana Tabares have reservations. “After being briefed about the state’s pending plans to house migrants at the location at 71st and Pulaski, I have major concerns for the safety of the local community and the people who will be housed at this location,” Tabares said.

Two points: 1. The correct phrase is CRIMINAL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. 2. Send them to Oak Park and Evanston,

Why won’t the fat man house/feed them at Hyatt Hotels? Is it because he’s a racist, white supremacist, transphobic, bigoted xenophobe?

I’m not sure why the inner-city and metropolitan Dem’s (who control what ha[pens in our state) just haven’t passed a law requiring taxpayers to house these illegal aliens in public shelters built next to the state-imposed fields of solar panels and wind turbine towers. Just take all of the folks who decided to vote for politicians who think we ought to be a sanctuary for folks who bring these sorts of challenges, and relieve them of consequences of doing so. All of the adversarial woke groups – Blacks, Hispanics, churches-n-charities – that are upset with each other over what to… Read more »

If one looks, really looks they’ll see that criminal illegal aliens are everywhere in the city. I see this with my own eyes. Recently the south loop appears to have no shortage of wanderers.

And the suburbs too. The local no-name grocery store by me is now almost entirely hispanic families buying the cheapest no-brand bag ‘o chicken by the pound and it was just a mix of all ethnicity even a year ago. You and I are paying more for our chicken because 5,000,000 – 10,000,000 illegal immigrants have flooded into the country in the past 24 months, putting price pressure on food.

Just goes to show how little our leaders care to actually govern when they virtue signal “WE ARE SANCTUARY”. They care only to push their insane leftwing agenda but seem themselves personally as above performing the day-to-day of actually providing for illegal immigrants. So we end up in a situation where we are housing them in vacant K-Marts in black neighborhoods.

Say what you want about the Red State bus operations, but they are pretty efficient and are moving thousands of immigrants to red states. They said they were going to ship illegal immigrants to red states and they are.

“The migrants — mostly asylum seekers …”

CORRECTION:

“The criminal migrants — who bypassed legal channels and entered our country illegally…”

Get it right already! They are part of an invading force that will change the country we love and fought for.

I hope history is honest when recounting this administration’s abuses.

I don’t see what the big deal is considering there are all the Democrat voters up there in Chicagoland. They should enjoy what they voted for. After all a lot of us down-staters don’t like the way Chicagoland votes but are forced to live with the ramification.

How about moving them back south into Mexico?

once again, as a nw side city resident I could think of numerous city, state, cc and retail facilities that sit empty or are barely used that could just as easily be turned into immigrant shelter or homeless shelter. But Ill keep my moth shut….don’t want to upset all the NIMBY /fair weather lib poser neighbors.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
