WGN Investigates has looked into the price tag of “just in case” facilities during the coronavirus pandemic. Most makeshift hospitals in the city and suburbs have not seen a single patient as the number of cases per day continue to be over 1,000.

WGN, not your Grandmother’s station. Both Radio and TV are so Left leaning. Full of Propaganda and Hog wash!

Remember that these are the same people who demand complete, total control over every aspect of the economy. How many and what kind of cars will GM make? How many and what kind of cars will Ford make? Will there be more Star Wars movies? How many brands of shoes should be made? Government will decide, because they say government is never wrong and more efficient than the private sector. The 300 million Americans who make up the free market are all wrong and they’re right.

I think they tried that in Russia once and it didn’t turn out so well.

WGN gets their news from CNN.
Many of the pieces that they show on TV are wrong and incorrect.
I do not believe on word out of their mouth.

“Maybe we wouldn’t have needed to spend it had we invested in public health infrastructure over the years…But if we had been prepared we wouldn’t have needed to spend that extra money.” – Susan Stewart with the American Nurses Association of Illinois

So if only we had invested in under-utilized public health infrastructure earlier, it would have cost less? How is that possible? Supplies get stale and medical equipment ages. How much does it cost to be on super-alert 24/7?

Hey WGN, thanks for the information. I didn’t see that on television though, only fluff pieces and bad news. Could you perhaps please follow through with actual reporting and ask some pointed questions regarding the where-abouts of the $500K in Iphones and the service associated with them? I hope we don’t find out that 800 pals and appointees of the our governor have new Iphones and free service to use…ya know, that got “lost” in the shuffle. But no, that couldnt happen in Illinois…nah….

Such a waste of taxpayer and federal money, 800 I phones at 460,000 dollars. 7.4 million for McCormack place, never used. Reopened shuttered hospitals, never used. This is are leaders that we trust, if this is all Illinois has to offer in the form of leadership we are in deep deep crap. Curiosity, were are these I phones at now WGN TV maybe you can investigate that for the taxpayers. Illinois voters ya better think about recalling this governor now, and I mean now. He is like a little boy playing a board game, I win I win you lose.

A statewide concern: Illinois’ population decline outpaces neighboring states – Wirepoints on ABC20 Champaign

“We are not in good shape” Wirepoints’ Ted Dabrowski told ABC 20 Champaign during a segment on Illinois’ latest population losses. Illinois was one of just three states to shrink in the 2010-2020 period and has lost another 300,000 people since then. Ted says things need to change. “It’s too expensive to live here, there aren’t enough good jobs and nobody trusts the government anymore. There’s just other places to go where you can be more satisfied.”
