Comment: "Wirepointspublished several pieces critical of Seminar Day, including one accusing the school of “ripping its community apart,” this says. We sure did, and we were right. We are proud to have been part of this early effort. Salute to Beth Feeley and New Trier Neighbors for their leadership in that effort, setting a precedent for other groups working against divisive, woke racialism in our schools.
The left calls their speech *talking points*, they call ours *dog whistles*…
Talk about projecting…

Not one mention of the most powerful force pushing race in public education – the teacher union. Moving beyond this article if the constitutional amendment (Amendment One) at the top of the November 8, 2022 ballot passes, the teacher unions will likely attempt to negotiate a wide array of race and gender items into collective bargaining agreements. Here is the operative language of Amendment One. PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ADD SECTION 25 TO ARTICLE I OF THE ILLINOIS CONSTITUTION ARTICLE I BILL OF RIGHTS SECTION 25. WORKERS’ RIGHTS (a) Employees shall have the fundamental right to organize and to bargain collectively… Read more »
Huge salute to Beth Feeley and other members of New Trier Neighbors who, after Seminar Day, kept the group going and became a model for other groups around the nation.

Mother Jones are some of the craziest of the crazies.
They think they made a case against us who objected to Seminar Day, and the far left probably reads it that way. However, I bet 3/4 of readers take it the opposite way.

Gotta love it when New Trier is called Right-Wing.
“Right-wing” is the left’s go-to label for getting automatic tribal disapproval of what they don’t like. They know they can use that term to get a Pavlovian response from their sheep. No thinking required.
At a place like New Trier, CRT is merely virtue signaling. The beneficiaries are teachers and administrators who feel better about themselves as progressives. But it doesn’t advance in any way the educational prowess of students. Of course, at a place like New Trier the students and their will make their way notwithstanding the foolishness. The well off can survive bad ideas, which typically have bad bad consequences for the non well off. New Trier was in our athletic conference in the 70’s, and I admired as a poor teenager their focus on academics and sound habits. At the same… Read more »
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

Right, Mike. Amendment 1 is certainly about loss of parental control in schools. Teachers unions will demand excessive power over curricula.

Jacobin’s interns.
Mother Jones is right up there with Jezebel. Absolute garbage.

Everyone to the right of the communist is right-wing. Everyone.

Not just right wing but right wing zealots
People are tired of this marxist – based CRT claptrap… it is meant to shame whites, and thus divide our society even further…
Wait until the vaccine requirement kicks in next year, whoa boy it’s gonna get crazy in these liberal hell holes.
