There simply aren’t enough new, good jobs in Illinois – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Illinois’ stagnant job growth, rising taxes, and cultural divisions took center stage as Dan Proft welcomed Ted to discuss the state’s economic challenges. “We don’t create jobs in Illinois,” Ted warned. “It’s dismal.” This lack of opportunity is fueling population loss, with residents and businesses choosing to relocate to states like Texas, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

“There simply aren’t enough new, good jobs in Illinois.” And, to add to this problem, more and more bureaucratic positions are being created at the expense of the taxpayers.

In Florida the streets are paved in Gold and all the guys are young, rich, handsome and single. Come and get it. Spring and summer year-round, no income taxes and nothing but fun and sun. Just ask Ken Griffin and company.

“Florida’s population growth is pretty strong along with the job market, and it certainly has a lifestyle appeal,” Ressler said.

This chart, like several others that Wirepoints has posted, is the undoing of JB as a national candidate. It is not just the substance of the pathetic jobs creation stats. It is the phoniness and hollowness of the blabber you here from JB that is totally refuted by the stats. The Repubs will kill him on this, but even in a Dem primary his opponents will chew him up. His record on jobs, the economy, taxes, etc. is easy ammunition for Dem opponents.

ICE is hiring deportation agents around the Chicago area. That’s one of those “good jobs” and you also get a federal pension, thrift savings account and social security. Triple dipping retirement package and up to 50k in sign on bonus.

Why are there always 1 or 2 trolls downvoting every comment? Left is a mental illness that needs to be treated less humanely.

Crazy lefties aren’t employable so downvoting fills up their day.
This is why the left can organize daytime protests. None of them have jobs to go to.

Excellent interview Ted. WIND is the only station I listen to (it’s the only one worth listening to!).

The left are the same people who think ignoring the Epstein report is “woke” because they don’t want to hurt the feelings of known m***sters and p***philes. Disgusting.

Exactly. I vote Republican for many reasons, chief among them being that I love children.

Dems could learn a thing or two about business from President Trump if they weren’t such a bunch of stubborn morons. Look how well he handled Intel.

I know of at least one industry that’s hiring: covering up the epstein files. Too bad for JB the job is located in DC, where he’ll never be elected to.

Sad to say the people of Illinois voted for this. Now they get it good and hard. While I feel sorry for the people who can’t leave Illinois, those of us with immigrant relatives need to be reminded that these immigrants left their home countries for greater opportunities, yet many Americans are still afraid to just move to another state, no ocean voyage involved, just a car ride. If your relatives sacrificed to gain freedom, so can you. Frankly most excuses I hear for not leaving Illinois are not very good. When I moved to NC the only person I… Read more »

You reap what you sow. Illinois taxes make doing business in the state uncompetitive. Unsustainable pension costs are choking the life out of the state. Florida is growing like mad because of the northern Democratic states (not just Illinois) are killing the taxpayers. Illinois has some of the highest taxes and still has no money. It is a good case study of what not to do.

Actually IL is a PERFECT example of what I call ‘the union mentality’, specifically the millitant public unions.
