Tribune Publishing to lay off nearly 200 workers at Freedom Center printing plant – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo Finance

These layoffs come two months ahead of the newspaper company’s planned relocation of printing operations to Schaumburg. Laid off employees are being encouraged to apply for open positions at the Schaumburg facility, where there are currently 51 open positions and a Friday deadline for submitting applications.
