Why the Holdup Using Artificial Intelligence to Cut Illinois Government Costs? – Wirepoints
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Audio and summary
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
So our two local tough guys–JB and our socialist mayor– are going to butt heads with Trump. Great idea. Neither one of them understands the power of the feds– thru DOT, HUD, EPA, DHS, Commerce, IRS, Army Corp of Engineers, Dept of Education, DOJ, etc., etc. What a couple of nitwits. They better start watching what Newsome, New York City, the President of Columbia, Iran, and lots of others have already figured out.
The general public has decided that EVs are nothing more than overpriced niche vehicles that don’t meet their needs. EVs are done being desirable or aspirational products.
All federal money needs to be cut off from EV manufacturers, battery makers, and charging networks.
Then the cost of ICE vehicles and hybrids need to be lowered by reducing all automobile regulation. Cars are clean enough, and cars are safe enough. In fact, cars were clean and safe enough 25 years ago!
“I’m very nervous right now that (the Trump executive order) is going to limit Illinois’ ability to achieve its EV future,”
The article states they were to get $148M. That is roughly .33% of the states $49B budget next year. If it was actually important, the state could fund it.
I’m loving Trump (and Vance – face the nation was great too!) more and more everyday!
Even MORE great news! https://thepostmillennial.com/trump-to-ban-trans-people-in-us-armed-forces-dei-programs-in-new-eo-report “President Donald Trump will be signing executive orders on Monday that ban transgender individuals from the military as well as eliminating all diversity, equity, and inclusion programs from the armed forces in the United States… There can be “no accommodation for anything less than resilience, strength, and the ability to withstand extraordinary physical demands,” the EO reads. “Individuals who are unable to meet these requirements are unable to serve in the military. This has been the case for decades.”… The order from Trump continues, “It can take a minimum of 12 months for an individual… Read more »
As usual it seems Obama is the originator of eco-grift via Solyndra. Follow the money and your very likely to find large donors to Democrats. PDJT is right to pinch it all off.
The EV fad is waning due to funding cuts not from government, but from car buyers. These expensive, impractical golf carts have not generated repeat business. Why? Overall EV owner experiences are not positive. The doodads and TV screens in them are cute distractions from the terrible range and significant plug-in time with the vehicle uselessly tethered to a charger. The fact is, gas-powered cars are cleaner now that at any time in history. The Gaia-worshipers still can’t explain what should be done with the expended lithium batteries that continue to pile up as generation 1 EVs have the battery… Read more »
If you do a lot of city driving and want to really save on gas, a hybrid or a plug in hybrid is the way to go. Still good for long trips and fantastic for city trips, day to day commuting and trips to the grocery. If you commute in bumper to bumper traffic you may only add gas to the fuel tank a few times per year. The braking recharge in the stop and start traffic is amazing and in a daily commute the only time that the engine kicks on is for heat, AC and speeds above 35… Read more »
Ditto. My wife and I both have hybrids. I am by no means against efforts to limit emissions and they are great.
A company wants to build EV chargers and make a profit then let those companies pay to install chargers. Why should taxpayers fund this project? The EV nonsense is never ending. Someone’s pockets are getting filled with some green backs. Anybody remember Solindra the pet project of Barry Obammy and the solar panels? Millions given to Solindra and bankruptcy soon followed while the company executives made a fortune (no doubt large contributions were made to the Democratic Party). Stop the nonsense.
