UIUC has a rule gatherings must be 10 people or less. But the rules are not enforced for BLM marches. There was a Black Lives Matter (BLM) march in Champaign on Monday August 31, 2020 including some University of Illinois Urbana Champaign athletes. “A group of #Illini football players are leading hundreds of athletes, coaches, students, staff & others in a march toward the Champaign Police Department. Chanting ‘No justice, no peace, prosecute the police!'” https://twitter.com/itsallG_O_O_D/status/1300542831854059523 UIUC football player Kendrick Green organized the march. https://twitter.com/mrwagner25/status/1300537885825916934 http://www.thechampaignroom.com/2020/8/31/21409403/illinois-athletes-kendrick-green-nate-hobbs-black-lives-matter-march http://www.wandtv.com/news/u-of-i-football-players-march-in-black-lives-matter-event/article_7be3cc8e-ebef-11ea-96e9-4fcf1642f817.html https://herald-review.com/sports/illini/watch-now-this-is-love-right-here-university-of-illinois-athletes-participate-in-student-athlete/article_290e529a-8046-53b5-b1df-ca3ade4c8e09.html https://www.pantagraph.com/news/local/watch-now-march-and-vigil-heads-through-illinois-state-university-campus/video_fd6cd8f8-83f5-5387-a808-1cdb3f202823.html Black Girl Code at Illinois State University sponsored a protest march… Read more »
