Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The only thing I want to see closed is the lid on Durbin casket
Durbin is such a loathsome, disgusting individual.
Durbin has been punishing Illinois citizens for 40 yrs
Durbin the Turban been sucking on the taxpayer teet for too long. Taxpayers shouldn’t be held cost-accountable for employing army of white-collar bureaucrats sitting at home in their pjs and sipping cocoa while scheming new federal policies and regulations to further complicate life for non-government real-life people. That Dick thinks we need empty Federal Office buildings for remote working federal employees is reflective of how out-of-touch he is, he always has been. Sad story.
Dick Turdbin has been punishing everyday Americans with his leftist idiocy for decades now.
Go DOGE go!
It’s like Chicago schools many mostly empty but won’t close.
Less government is cruelty. I bet Mad King George made the same argument!
Dick, the U.S. Government Accountability Office has surveyed federal office buildings and determined that many are near vacant. THAT, not their closure, is inefficient.
Same thing can be said for Chicago public schools that are 10% full.
Truth.
Of course it does DICK. We should really believe you because…you do so much for the people of Illinois. Time to go DICK.
