What Kim Foxx’s Reelection Says About Racial Politics, Fear And Justice In Chicago And Beyond – WBEZ (Chicago)

"Reformers are celebrating Foxx’s reelection as an even more important victory than her initial election in 2016 because she was able to beat back a tough-on-crime challenge when voters were understandably focused on gun violence."

What is says is that the rule of law is dead. That we are a city who proclaims the criminal a victim, and the victim the guilty.

That we care more about those who do harm that we do those who produce.

It is disgusting.

“The concentration of violence is in our cities. Those are the people who are most directly impacted.” Sorry Kim, you’re wrong, the thugs you’re letting loose are coming to the suburbs and committing crimes. Fortunately when they come to DuPage County we catch them and we lock them up, hopefully word gets around so they stay in Cook County.

In suburban Cook, Kim Foxx 2020 underperformed Kim Foxx 2016 by 18 points. She underperformed Hillary by only 4 points but Biden by 20. How this can be spun as an “ even more important victory” is laughable. It’s embarrassing and she knows it.

(And it is “you’re”. This is not difficult.)
