Wilson was always overlooked because he was never in politics beside running for mayor. If he had been an Alderman he would have been more noticed in mayoral runs
Willie actually has a lot of good ideas and some highly practical analysis. He is probably not mayoral material himself, but our public officials should listen to him because he has a good touch with the common folk. If I were running for mayor I would certainly want him on my campaign advisory team
