Amazing how long the city has dragged the whole process of coming to grips with its spending problems and fixing them. When I moved away 9 years ago I figured the city would have declared bankruptcy by the time I was ready to retire. Well, this is the year for me but Chicago is still kicking the can down the road. It’s too bad but city leadership is still in denial and I won’t put my savings on the line to buy back in. I’ll stay here in the warmth of hillbilly heaven I guess.

Far, far too many public sector democratic votes in the CPS system for that to happen. The education system is not about education, but to get votes for democrats and the payback is huge amounts of taxpayer’s money.
