Seven other Starbucks locations in Illinois, including six in Chicago, have also filed for a union vote. They are part of a larger, nationwide wave of Starbucks unionizations that began when a location in Buffalo, New York, voted in December to become the first unionized Starbucks café in the U.S.
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
