IDES: January 2014 jobs numbers present mixed picture in Illinois

The unemployment rate fell to 8.7 percent in January, down from 9.2 percent one year ago, according to preliminary data released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
