Thanksgiving vandalism: ‘Land back’ sprayed on US statues- CNN

In Chicago, a statue of former President William McKinley was vandalized at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning. “A rope was thrown around it in an attempt to bring it down with a vehicle,” a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department told CNN. The phrase “land back” was seen graffitied on the pedestal of the statue.

Illinois outpaces nation in manufacturing job losses – Center Square

“Since the recession ended in ‘09, every state has gained tens-of-thousands of manufacturing jobs while Illinois has just stayed the same,” said Mark Denzler, president of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. “We have all of these things going for Illinois. If we could get the policies right, these jobs should be located in the state of Illinois.”
