Decades ago, Morgantown was one of a few federal minimum security prisons jokingly referred to as “Club Fed” due to the activities offered. But Prison Consultants of America Executive Director Michael Sabo said it’s been 50 years since the Morgantown facility’s pool was decommissioned amid public outcry in the 1970s and noted its long-dilapidated tennis courts are likely now shuttered too.
No matter the condition of the prison, anything besides Stateville is better than Madigan deserves. The prices of the commissary were noted elsewhere. I’m sure the 40-50M that Madigan pilfered will go a long way.

A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
