Cook County Circuit Judge James R. Brown was one of seven retired judges brought back to the bench last month and assigned to traffic court to address an apparent shortage of judges in Cook County. In September, before his reinstatement, Brown authored a guest column for John Kass News, in which he entertained the idea that the 2020 election was stolen, denounced the murders of U.S. citizens by “illegal aliens” and criticized “Soros-funded” progressive prosecutors.

How dare any Cook County judge deviate from the DNC/Useless Chicago Media narrative.
We are still learning just how far the DNC went to suborn and enable fraud in the 2020 election. Thus the raid in Fulton County Georgia. Investigators are getting close, so look for loony leftists to go further into off the deep end…

Not sure how conservative views can have any bearing on traffic court? The law is the law, but in Chicago, where there is no common sense, this is par for the course. Plus would like to note that Judge Brown made these comments AFTER he was retired and BEFORE he was reinstated – NOT DURING his tenure. Seems to me this may be a violation of free speech, but these are lawyers, so they probably already know that.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

Right on. This is outrageous. And if you look at the “offending” column the judge wrote that Kass published, it’s perfectly reasonable and accurate.
