Aldermen fear setting aside contracts for gay-owned businesses could lead to fraud, fewer contracts for people of color – Chicago Sun-TImes

Comment: If set-asides are extended to gays, only 13.6% of Chicago's population would be left without access to a set-aside – straight, white, males with no handicap, as we detailed earlier. In other words, over 86% of Chicagoans would be entitled to preferential treatment when bidding for city contracts. Maybe it would be easier just to designate the small minority that gets no preference.

So how do you define “Gay” or determine when a person is officially gay and officially not gay? I know lots of married men who are also likely gay. Do they count? Does the woman who had the “fling” with her roommate while in college at Sarah Lawrence count? Are all women married to men and men married to women automatically rejected? I had an old girlfriend who left me for a woman and then eventually married a man; does she count? Is there a test? Do you have to perform a gay sex act in front of an official… Read more »

While you say this in jest, you’re absolutely right, there are all sorts of questions that must be answered. Kinsey himself said that sexuality is a spectrum, not a binary choice, so at what point does someone become L, B, G or Q (the T part is easy to figure out)? It seems to me that the answer is all about self-identifying, because there is no ‘gay gene’ or outward test to determine if someone qualifies as a L B G Q; it’s essentially behavior, and the acts, that defines inclusion into the LBGQ community.

It looks to me like Kinsey was just another monster (like Freud) pushing an agenda (and possibly using child molestation and rape along the way.) This whole sorry mess (the attempt to claim homosexuality isn’t perversion and is at BEST a vice) will eventually go down in history as part of the larger Mass Delusion popular in these times.

We learn much by how vehemently are certain kinds of inquiries suppressed. Kinsey was a monster. And almost certainly a liar. That such lies are used as fodder by those intent on brainwashing others is hardly surprising.

Although I wrote this in jest, it is the crux of the matter. Moreover, set-asides are supposed to exist for the disadvantaged as some sort of “leveling” of the free market, right? In my experience the gay business owners that I know are generally extremely successful at their business and career. They are far from disadvantaged in the business world so why the special treatment? Certainly, they face discrimination and social issues but not business limitations. Do you avoid the incredible Ann Sathers cinnamon rolls because the business owner is gay? Not me.The cinnamon rolls and the restaurant are terrific… Read more »

I’m going to come out as Trans-Black, so I can get all the set-asides and contracts. After all, if I can simply announce I’m transgender, why can’t I be transracial? Just because someone who is 6 feet tall and has an adams apple (and male genitals) likes women doesn’t mean he’s a “he” and heterosexual. In actuality, that person is a “she” who happens to be lesbian. Transgender lesbian, AND transracial, to boot!!!!

Shower me with MONEY, you plebes.

Behind virtually 100% of these “minority owned” firms are a few CONNECTED law firms in Chicago. The people running those firms are either white or members of a minority is near-literally illegal to criticize.

That is the irony that cisgendered hetero white males ARE the minority in the Chicago. But they’re also the perfect scapegoat for all of the city’s ills.

Scapegoat? It’s not difficult to find calls for SWM’s to be imprisoned or slaughtered. There’s a war on, my friend. The clearest insights on this are from sources “good people” deem utterly repugnant. We’re simply NOT ALLOWED to even THINK about such things (recall that you know who owns you by noticing who you’re not allowed to criticize.) If you are willing to dip a toe in forbidden stuff you’re not ever supposed to “see,” read some of this: https://www.counter-currents.com/2018/03/the-war-against-whites-in-advertising/print/ https://www.counter-currents.com/2018/04/the-war-on-whites-in-advertising-a-follow-up/print/ https://www.printfriendly.com/p/g/tV7Ujd (Cognitive Dissonance and the Liberal Mind) https://claremontreviewofbooks.com/digital/after-the-republic/ (much more mainstream from Angelo Codevilla: After the Republic.) A statewide concern: Illinois’ population decline outpaces neighboring states – Wirepoints on ABC20 Champaign

“We are not in good shape” Wirepoints’ Ted Dabrowski told ABC 20 Champaign during a segment on Illinois’ latest population losses. Illinois was one of just three states to shrink in the 2010-2020 period and has lost another 300,000 people since then. Ted says things need to change. “It’s too expensive to live here, there aren’t enough good jobs and nobody trusts the government anymore. There’s just other places to go where you can be more satisfied.”
